Melanie Forte earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, where she ran Track and Field. She joined Teach for America Eastern North Carolina as a 2013 Corp member, and taught 6th and 7th grade English at her placement school, Henderson Collegiate. She participated in the RELAY Graduate School of Education Principal’s Fellowship Program in the 2016-2017 school year. She is currently the Reading Department Chair, Instructional Coach, and 4th Grade Level Chair at Henderson Collegiate. Melanie can be reached at [email protected].

MELANIE IS A FELLOW IN THE NCSU COHORT
The NCSU Cohort is a Master of School Administration program modeled after NC State’s award-winning and nationally-recognized, Northeast Leadership Academy. A grant from the state of NC through the North Carolina Alliance for School Leadership Development (NCASLD) funds the new NCSU Cohort, including full scholarships for the NCSU Cohort’s Fellows. Once they complete the program, NCSU Cohort Fellows will earn a NC school principal license and a Master of School Administration degree.
